Transfer Student Scholarships

Transfer Tuition SCHOLARSHIP

All domestic transfer students are eligible for the Transfer Tuition Scholarships (starting at $14,000). All transfer students will automatically be considered for this merit-based scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed.

CHICAGO STAR SCHOLARSHIP

Students participating in the Chicago STAR program through the City Colleges of Chicago with a 3.0 GPA or higher will receive a $25,000/year tuition scholarship. STAR students should also join the FastForward program before transferring to Illinois Tech.

CHICAGO POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS SCHOLARSHIP

In honor of their service to the city of Chicago, IIT offers $20,000 annual scholarships to the children and grandchildren of members of the Chicago Police Department and Chicago Fire Department. The Chicago Police and Fire Departments Scholarship is also open to the children and grandchildren of members of the Chicago Paramedic Department.

PHI THETA KAPPA SCHOLARSHIP

Active members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) are eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship (up to $5,000 per year) upon proof of PTK membership when applications are reviewed. The scholarship is awarded at the time of acceptance, and notification appears on applicant's merit scholarship letter.

PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Presidential Scholarship is an educational initiative that provides support to students at two-year institutions who go on to study within all fields of study at Illinois Tech.

Triton College "GENIUS" Scholarship

Illinois Tech is proud to partner with Triton College to offer the GENIUS Scholarship. This $25,000/year tuition scholarship is available for Triton College students participating in the Triton GENIUS program who transfer to Illinois Tech the semester following completion of coursework at Triton College. GENIUS program participants should join IIT's FastForward Program a minimum of one-year before transferring to Illinois Tech.

PLEASE NOTE: If a student is eligible for multiple Illinois Institute of Technology merit scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest merit award for which the student is qualified but may not combine multiple awards.
