Joint Engineering programs are for students enrolled at a partner college or university and will be pursuing a dual degree with Illinois Tech. Joint programs differ from a 3+2 transfer program in that students earn two degrees. If your school is not listed below as a partner institution, please submit a regular transfer application if you are seeking an undergraduate degree with Illinois Tech.
Upon completion of the program, which normally takes five years, the student receives a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from Illinois Tech and a bachelor's degree in an approved discipline from one of the following schools:
- DePaul University
- Wheaton College
- Benedictine University
- Elmhurst College
- Dominican University
- Lewis University
Students enrolled in this program can participate in student activities and use all available facilities at both institutions. Residency requirements depend on each individual institution. Students wishing to complete the joint program must complete the following admission process prior to enrolling at Illinois Tech.
- Be admitted to partner institutions and meet with advisors.
- Submit completed Illinois Tech application for admission.
- Submit official transcripts from partner institutions.
