High School Summer Program
This summer the Department of Psychology is offering "Psychology in Everyday Life" to introduce high school students to the field of psychology. Over the course of the week, students will be given a rich learning experience and the opportunity to apply ideas and research in psychology to everyday life.
This program is now closed. We'll be accepting applications for the Summer 2020 session in the spring.
Lectures and Discussions
Students will learn about different principles and theories from both Illinois Tech faculty and graduate students. Students will also use the knowledge they gain to conduct their own research by collecting data and presenting their findings. There will be field trips throughout the week to make observations and apply what they have learned in to real life situations.
Cost/Scholarships and Application Procedure
"Psychology in Everyday Life" is one-week program for commuting high school students with a combination of lectures and field trips throughout the week. The summer program will run from 9:00am - 5:00 pm daily, June 24th to June 28th.
The cost is $600 per student. A limited number of scholarships will be available based on financial need.
