High School Summer Program
This summer the Department of Psychology is offering "Psychology in Everyday Life" to introduce high school students to the field of psychology. Over the course of the week, students will be given a rich learning experience and the opportunity to apply ideas and research in psychology to everyday life.
Lectures and Discussions
Students will learn about different principles and theories from both Illinois Tech faculty and graduate students. Students will also use the knowledge they gain to conduct their own research by collecting data and presenting their findings. There will be field trips throughout the week to make observations and apply what they have learned in to real life situations.
Cost/Scholarships and Application Procedure
"Psychology in Everyday Life" is one-week program for commuting high school students with a combination of lectures and field trips throughout the week. The summer program will run from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm daily, Monday, June 25th to Friday, June 29th
The cost is $500 per student. A limited number of scholarships will be available based on financial need. If you are applying for a scholarship you will need to submit a request via email to Dionna Anderson email@example.com.
Applications will accepted on a rolling bases but students are encouraged to apply early as spots fill up quickly.
