This introductory course provides high school students the opportunity to explore the broad scope of engineering disciplines and applications. Through speakers and multimedia, students will learn what biomedical, chemical, electrical, mechanical, civil and environmental engineers do in their jobs. Hands-on exercises with specific engineering applications will provide the student an opportunity to explore these areas of engineering in greater depth and see how math and science provides a basis for technology innovation. This course is required prior to enrolling in discipline-specific courses.
Register for classes June 20 – 22 or July 11-13. 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily. Lunch is provided.
$600 per student
