Interested in learning about and working on Virtual Reality Technology like in the movie Ready Player One? This summer the Department of Humanities is pleased to offer High School Students VR Art and Programming for Games, part of its inaugural five-day Digital Humanities Summer Program. Illinois Tech is home to one of few undergraduate programs in the country dedicated to digital humanities, and the new Digital Humanities Summer Program will introduce high school students to the exciting college degrees and career possibilities in this cutting-edge field. Daily workshops will explore how virtual reality and video game technologies mediate so much of our lives. Students will gain practical, hands-on learning experiences with art, programming and VR hardware and software used by professionals. At the end of the course, students will have a VR ready game they can share with their family and friends.
