Living on the Greek Quad
The Quad is home to six fraternities:
- Pi Kappa Phi
- Delta Tau Delta
- Alpha Sigma Phi
- Phi Kappa Sigma
The Quad is also home to two sororities:
- Alpha Sigma Alpha
- Kappa Phi Delta
These houses are home to 20 - 50 members, depending upon available space. Each chapter also holds weekly membership meetings in their chapter room, and may hold other events at the house, as needed.
Rush Week is held at the beginning of the school year. Each house has its own dues and membership requirements.
Throughout the year, the grassy area of the Quad is abuzz with activity. In the warm weather months, pickup football games, cookouts and volleyball games are a common sight. During Chicago's cold winters, snowball fights and snowmen building contests abound. Even if you aren't Greek, stop by and see what's going on!
Zeta Pi Omega sorority and Omega Delta fraternity have chapter rooms in MSV.
Safety on the Quad
- Houses on the Quad are inspected quarterly by IIT Facilities Management and the Office of Residence and Greek Life. These inspections ensure the safety and security of IIT Greek students.
- IIT Public Safety monitors the Quad just as any other area of campus. Officers and students have a good working relationship to maintain the safety and openness of the area.
